JUNIOR RESIDENTIAL CAMP

Goals & Objective

  • Our Junior Residential Camp is an overnight camp for young female soccer players ages 10-14 (Grades 5-8). A commuter option is available as well.
  • Camp curriculum was designed to develop the tactical understanding and specific ball skills needed for promising young players to advance in their soccer careers. Training sessions and games are designed to challenge all levels of ability.

Registration

  • Once you have successfully completed the online registration process, you’ll receive a confirmation email to the email address associated with your account (please make sure the address is accurate and up-to-date).
  • If you believe your registration was successful, but you have not received a confirmation email, please check your junk or spam filter. If you still cannot find the confirmation, contact dukesoccerschool@gmail.com.

Check In & Check Out

Registration will be held from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm Day 1. Check Out runs from 3:00 – 4:00 pm Day 3. Please bring your key to return during Check Out. If you need to arrange different Check In or Check Out times, please email us at dukesoccerschool@gmail.com.

Parking for both is available in the Blue Zone lot adjacent to Wallace Wade Stadium and we’ll have staff on hand to direct you to the dorm.

Commuters

The commuter fee for our Junior Residential Camp includes all camp sessions, lunch, and dinner. The commuter camper must attend registration on the first day of camp. Commuters should plan to arrive at 8:15 a.m. and leave at 9:00 p.m. for the remaining days of camp. Drop-off and pick-up will take place at the Duke Athletic Field Complex unless otherwise notified. Please park in the Science Drive Visitors’ Lot or along Frank Bassett Drive.

Key Deposit

There is a $125.00 key deposit due at registration. The deposit will be returned in exchange for your camper’s key at check out. Please make the key deposit check payable to Duke Soccer School for Girls and write your camper’s name on the memo line.

Accommodations

We are staying in the Wannamaker dorm on Duke’s West Campus. All rooms are air-conditioned. Overnight campers and commuters will all have access to the Common Room during breaks. The rooms do not have refrigerators or microwaves, but campers will have access to both in the Common Room kitchen.

Safety Info

We will provide water and Gatorade at the fields. Ice is also available at the fields, but make sure your camper picks up ice before returning to the dorm at night if they need it (we do not have ice in the dorms). An athletic trainer will be on hand at all times and staying in the dorms overnight. We will have adult camp counselors staying in the dorms as well in addition to two adult Dorm Supervisors.

Transportation

For campers flying into RDU, we offer a shuttle either for pick up ($50), drop off ($50), or round trip ($75). Please do not schedule flights to arrive any earlier than Friday (June 16) evening. We will also need your flight info emailed to dukesoccerschool@gmail.com in order to arrange the shuttle. If you need to arrive a day early, please contact dukesoccerschool@gmail.com.
