Our 2016 Junior Elite Residential Camp begins this Saturday, June 11. Full camp details are as follows:
Check In runs from 10:30 am – 12:30 pm Saturday, June 18 in the CC Common Room of Crowell Quad on Duke’s West Campus. Campers will be able to unpack their belongings in their rooms at this time. Camp officially begins at 1:30 pm with the safety meeting.
Check Out runs from 8:30 – 11 am Tuesday, June 21 in the Crowell Quad CC Common Room. You may check out your camper while they participate in the morning games.
Parking for both Check In and Check Out is located in the Blue Zone lot on Wannamaker Drive and adjacent to Wallace Wade Stadium. We’ll have staff on hand to help direct you to the dorm.
Commuters must attend Check In on the first day of camp. Drop off on subsequent days is at 8 am at the Athletic Field Complex off Frank Bassett Drive. Plan pick up for 9 pm (if a commuter is selected for the all-star game, then pick up would be at 9:45 pm). Pick up is also located at the Athletic Field Complex unless otherwise notified.
For overnight campers, there is a $100.00 key deposit due at Check In. This is to cover the cost of a replacement key should a camper lose theirs during camp. The deposit check will be returned to you in exchange for your camper’s key at Check Out. Please make the check payable to Duke Soccer School for Girls and write your camper’s name on the memo line.
If you have a remaining balance, please log into your account prior to Check In to pay the remainder. You can access your account via the Log In button in the top right corner on www.DukeSoccerSchool.com. If you have trouble paying the remainder, please email us at DukeSoccerSchool@gmail.com
All campers must have a completed medical form on file prior to the beginning of camp. If you have not already submitted your form, please bring a completed copy with you to registration. The medical form can be found here.
We will provide water and Gatorade at the fields. Ice is also available at the fields, but make sure your camper picks up ice before returning to the dorm at night if they need it (we do not have ice in the dorms). An athletic trainer will be on hand at all times and staying in the dorms overnight. We will have adult camp counselors staying in the dorms as well in addition to two adult Dorm Supervisors.
We are staying in the Crowell Quad (BB, CC, DD, and EE) on Duke’s West Campus. All rooms are air-conditioned. Overnight campers and commuters will all have access to the CC Common Room during breaks. The rooms do not have refrigerators or microwaves, but campers will have access to both in the CC Common Room kitchen.
We will have a Camp Store open in the CC Common Room. Campers may purchase snacks, Gatorade, water, and Duke Soccer apparel at the store.
You may deposit money in our Camp Bank (usually between $20-$60). Please bring cash or check to Check In for the Camp Bank. Your camper may use their Camp Bank money to purchase food, beverages, and apparel from the Camp Store. Camp Bank money only works at the Camp Store, not at the Duke Bookstore.
